At Elevate Health, physiotherapy is more than just treating injury or pain.  It’s preventing it. Physiotherapy

PHYSIOTHERAPIST & CO-FOUNDER

D’Arcy has been active outdoors since his childhood climbing the framed houses of Calgary’s then-new Silver Springs neighbourhood. He considered a career as an outdoor guide—until a volunteer experience in university with physiotherapist Dr. Michael Westaway changed the trajectory of his career and life.

Now a physiotherapist of 25+ years and a clinical director of 12 years with a Clinical Instructor designation from the University of Alberta, D’Arcy’s depth and breadth of experience extends beyond musculoskeletal physiotherapy with expertise in Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy and concussion management.

Today, he climbs mountains instead of houses, runs, and swims. He walks the talk, strength training to prevent injury and pain, and he’ll always talk nutrition with you—especially when said nutrition includes Eggs Benedict or chocolate. He has two daughters and lives in Calgary, AB.

MASSAGE THERAPY

Joseph’s philosophy is simple: listen to the body, relax the nervous system, and commit to the result. He believes that true healing begins with a deep understanding of your individual needs and a tailored approach to your treatment. Together, he will help you work towards your optimal health and well-being.

The human body is an incredible machine, and treating it requires dedicated, manual precision. Joseph practices a strictly hands-on philosophy. You won’t find gadgets, scraping tools, or instruments in his practice. Aside from the strategic use of Hydrotherapy (hot and cold applications) to manage inflammation and blood flow, Josephs work relies entirely on highly skilled manual palpation and intent.

Joseph’s practice is anchored in a solid clinical foundation of Advanced Swedish and Sports Massage. However, what truly sets his treatment apart is how these styles are adapted.

Using a martial Arts Lens: Joseph has decades of competitive martial arts experience giving him a deep, lived understanding of biomechanics, injury, and force. The techniques he uses have been rigorously tested and vetted through years of real-world athletic impact and recovery.

Cross-Disciplinary Integration: Joseph has closely studied the methodologies of physiotherapy and chiropractic care, blending their movement-rehabilitation and joint-mechanic insights into his soft-tissue work.

While he always maintains a strict scope of practice, Joseph does not believe in cookie-cutter treatments. His technique is a living, evolving practice—consistently adapting to your specific needs in the treatment room and constantly updating to reflect the latest discoveries in sports science and pain neurobiology. Whether you are recovering from intense training or managing chronic discomfort, you will work together to get your body moving exactly the way it should.

Physiotherapy

PHYSIOTHERAPIST & CO-FOUNDER

Before his 15+-year career in physiotherapy began, Marc was an athlete: A martial artist and hockey player. While attending the University of Saskatchewan, he competed in Tae Kwon Do at the national level, with dreams of joining Team Canada at the 2008 Olympics. But life had other plans: Injury.

He knew if he couldn’t be an elite athlete, he could still work with them—so, he joined the University of Saskatchewan’s men’s hockey team as a trainer, where he was exposed to physiotherapy. He graduated with his degree in Kinesiology and moved to New Zealand to become a physiotherapist himself.

Since graduating and becoming licensed in Canada, Marc has worked as a physiotherapist in Calgary and treated post-surgical knee reconstruction patients with Banff Sports Medicine. Marc is still an athlete—and a respected nerd in the world of Warhammer. He lives with his wife and two kids in Calgary, AB.

MASSAGE THERAPY

TR loves art and getting into that creative flow. She spends her free time writing meditations, creating music, making art, doing yoga, walking her dog and taking in new experiences! (When she’s not nerding out and learning more about the human body)

There is no one quite like TR. A small town girl with a whole lot of compassion, knowledge and experience to share with you. Her passion for helping people has guided her education and career in a path she thrives on.

Feeling into the flow of your body, your fascia and your muscles is TR’s creative process in the treatment room and it works. Your body & mind work together as one cohesive unit, and when pain, discomfort, or dysfunction occurs, she understands needing to address the whole self. The techniques TR uses are based on how your fascia, muscles and tissues feel and function together at the time of treatment. She will leave you feeling and functioning better, and for even longer when you make a plan together.

Massage therapy for all ages!
